To name a few, he has won best Cinematography at The European Independent Film Festival ÉCU in Paris and Silver in Cinematography at London International awards LIA. His work is cinematic with clear aim for captivating and atmospheric imagery, still always focusing on the narrative. Daniel feels the interaction with people is essential in the film making process. Daniels credits include 8 feature films. Latest is The Twin which is an english language feature starring Teresa Palmer and is currently in postproduction. He collaborated earlier with the same director Taneli Mustonen on the buzzed about Lake Bodom which made a mark in the genre scene. The cinematography was praised by The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and many more. Daniel has shot over 500 commercials all over the world. He has a Masters degree in Cinematography from Aalto University.
